Early in his career, Tom served as a presidential advisor on core values and family culture when he was invited by the President of the United States to participate in the White House Conference on Children and Youth. He also received national attention for a program he created in Albany, New York’s inner city to support children and families in the community. When abortion clinic bombings and related violence paralyzed the city of Pensacola, Florida, then-Mayor John Fogg sought Tom’s expertise to help identify and integrate a program centered on core values within the community, as reported by the Pensacola News Journal. In the same city, Tom collaborated with Gulf Power Company to design and implement a comprehensive ethics and compliance program for their entire workforce.
